FNBO Complete Rewards® Visa Signature® Card Review: 5X Travel, No Annual Fee, One Catch
July 1, 2025

FNBO (First National Bank of Omaha) just launched a new no-annual-fee travel card: the Complete Rewards® Visa Signature® Card. It earns 5X points on travel, 3X on streaming, and 2X on fuel, with no annual fee, but a 3% foreign transaction fee and a modest welcome bonus keep it from being a clear standout.
What's New
- Launched Sept 2, 2026
- $0 annual fee
- Welcome bonus: 15,000 points (worth $150) after spending $500 in the first 3 billing cycles
- Rewards: 5X travel, 3X streaming, 2X fuel, 1X everything else
- Foreign transaction fee: 3%

How the Rewards Break Down
FNBO values each point at 1 cent, so the 5X travel rate works out to a straightforward 5% back on flights, hotels, rental cars, and similar travel purchases, a strong rate for a card with no annual fee. Streaming services earn 3X (3% back), and fuel purchases earn 2X (2% back). Everything else earns a flat 1X.
The catch is the welcome bonus: 15,000 points for $150 in value is on the low end for a new card launch, and Doctor of Credit's early read on the card noted it wasn't strong enough to make their best-bonuses list. There's also some uncertainty around redemption. It's not yet confirmed whether the 1¢-per-point value applies to a cash-back statement credit, or only to gift card redemptions, which matters if straightforward cash back is what you're after.
Kudos's Card Explore Tool can show you exactly how the Complete Rewards Card's 5X travel rate compares to what you're already earning on your current cards, and Approval Odds shows your real chances before you apply.
How It Compares to Other No-Fee Travel Cards
The FNBO Complete Rewards Card enters a crowded field of no-annual-fee travel cards. Here's how its 5X travel rate stacks up:
- Wells Fargo Autograph® Card: 3X travel, dining, gas, transit, streaming, and phone plans, and 1X other purchases.
- Capital One VentureOne Rewards: 5X on hotels/rental cars booked through Capital One Travel, 1.25X everything else. $0 annual fee, no foreign transaction fee.
- Bank of America® Travel Rewards: unlimited 1.5X on everything, 3X on travel booked through BofA's portal for Preferred Rewards members.
- Chase Freedom Unlimited®: 1.5% flat cash back (5% on Chase Travel), $0 annual fee, 3% foreign transaction fee.
The pattern: Wells Fargo Autograph and Capital One VentureOne both beat FNBO's welcome bonus and drop the foreign transaction fee entirely, which matters more for a travel-positioned card than the 5X rate does. FNBO's edge is the streaming and fuel categories, which none of these direct competitors match.

The Bottom Line
The FNBO Complete Rewards Card is a reasonable no-annual-fee pick if you specifically want a boosted rate on streaming and fuel alongside travel — categories most $0-fee travel cards ignore. But if a foreign transaction fee is a dealbreaker or you travel internationally often, Wells Fargo Autograph or Capital One VentureOne are the stronger picks, both with better bonuses and no FTF.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5. Solid everyday rewards structure, undercut by an uncertain redemption story and a foreign transaction fee that works against its own travel positioning.
