Apple Card $100 Welcome Bonus: Is It Worth It?
September 27, 2026

Apple Card is running a public welcome bonus: open a new account and spend $100 within your first 30 days, and Apple pays you $100 back as Daily Cash. Here's how the offer works, what the card earns day to day, and whether it's worth applying for right now.
The Apple Card $100 Welcome Bonus, Explained
The offer is simple on paper. Apply for a new Apple Card through Apple's dedicated promotional page, open the account, and spend $100 or more within 30 days of opening it. Apple deposits the $100 as Daily Cash once your qualifying purchases post.
A few conditions worth knowing before you apply:
- You have to be a new Apple Card accountholder. Existing cardholders, and anyone with a pending or previously approved application, don't qualify.
- Purchases made by other people on your Apple Card Family (co-owners or participants) don't count toward your $100 in qualifying spend.
- The offer is limited to one new-account bonus per account.
- Returns or refunds during the 30-day window can trigger a Daily Cash adjustment, so plan your qualifying purchases with that in mind.

Apple Card Rewards and Fees at a Glance
Apple Card has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee. It's issued by Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Salt Lake City Branch, and runs on the Mastercard network, with a virtual card number in the Wallet app for merchants that don't accept Apple Pay directly.
Cash back, called Daily Cash, breaks down by how you pay:
- 3% cash back at Apple, and at select merchants like Nike and Walgreens/Duane Reade, when you pay with Apple Pay.
- 2% cash back on any other purchase made with Apple Pay.
- 1% cash back on purchases made with the physical titanium card, for merchants that don't accept Apple Pay.
Daily Cash posts once a purchase settles, and you can send it to an Apple Cash account, a Savings account through Goldman Sachs, or request it as a statement credit.
Apple Card's issuer has been in transition since early 2026, when JPMorgan Chase agreed to take over the program from Goldman Sachs. As of this posting, Goldman Sachs remains the card's issuer of record.
How Big Is This Bonus, Really?
A $100 welcome offer tied to $100 of spend is a low bar to clear, and essentially free money if you were planning to open Apple Card anyway. It's also a modest bonus by credit card standards. Apple Card doesn't typically run a public welcome offer at all, and some cardholders have reported being targeted with larger invitations in the past. Those targeted offers aren't published or guaranteed, so this $100 bonus, with its own dedicated landing page, is the one any applicant can count on today.
If your spending leans heavily on a category like groceries, dining, or travel, a flat 1 to 3% back on everyday purchases won't out-earn a card built around that category. Where Apple Card earns its keep is as a simple, no-annual-fee backup card for Apple Pay purchases, especially for anyone already deep in the Apple ecosystem.

Can I Get the $100 Bonus If I Already Have an Apple Card?
No. The offer is limited to new accountholders who apply through the promotional link and open a brand new account. Existing cardholders, and anyone with a pending or previously approved application, don't qualify.
Is the Apple Card Bonus Available to Everyone?
