Chase Sapphire Lounges Just Locked Out Priority Pass Members

Chase Sapphire Lounges by The Club left the Priority Pass and LoungeKey networks on August 15, 2026. If your Priority Pass membership came from anything other than a Chase card, you no longer have complimentary access.
The old arrangement was already narrow, and now it's gone entirely.
What Changed
- The free annual visit is gone. Priority Pass and LoungeKey members previously got one complimentary Sapphire Lounge visit per year.
- The $75 discounted rate is gone. Additional visits used to be purchasable at a preferential $75 each. That pricing no longer applies.
- Chase cardmembers are unaffected. Chase Sapphire Reserve® and The Ritz-Carlton® Credit Card cardholders keep unlimited complimentary access, and their Chase-issued Priority Pass still works.
- Layover windows got longer. Travelers on a same-day connecting itinerary can now enter up to five hours before departure, up from three.

Why Chase Did It
Fewer eligible guests, longer access windows. Sapphire Lounges have had persistent crowding complaints, and cutting off a large pool of non-Chase Priority Pass holders is the most direct lever Chase has to shorten the line for its own cardholders.
Kudos keeps a running picture of what each of your cards is actually delivering, so a benefit that quietly disappears doesn't keep costing you an annual fee.
What To Do Instead
Use the Priority Pass lounges still in the network at your airport, buy day-pass access at the door where it's available, or reassess whether the card that gave you Priority Pass is still earning its keep. Check the current lounge list for your specific terminal before you travel — network membership changes constantly.
The bigger pattern: issuer-operated lounges are becoming closed systems. Amex tightened Centurion Lounge guest access years ago. Capital One Lounges gate entry by card tier. Lounge access is one of the least reliable benefits to build an annual-fee decision around, because the issuer can change the terms without changing the fee.
