What's New in 2026

The Revvi Card's core terms remain unchanged heading into 2026. The purchase APR holds at 35.99% — among the highest in the unsecured card market — and the fee structure is identical to prior years. The card continues to report monthly to all three credit bureaus, which remains its most practical credit-building feature. No new benefits or fee reductions have been announced for 2026.

If you received a pre-approved mailer with a Reservation Code, you can apply directly using that code. Otherwise, applications are accepted through Revvi's website.

How the Revvi Card's Fees Actually Work

Person reviewing credit card fee breakdown with a calculator and notebook to evaluate the Revvi Card's costs in 2026

This is where most applicants get caught off guard. The Revvi Card has four distinct cost layers:

1. Program fee ($95, one-time): Charged before you can use the card. You can pay it in three installments, but your card is locked until the full $95 is paid. If you charge it to the card, it immediately reduces your available credit — a $300 limit becomes $205 before your first purchase.

2. Annual fee ($75 year 1, $48 after): Charged to your account and reduces your initial available credit further.

3. Monthly service fee ($8.25/month, waived year 1): Starting in year two, you'll pay $99 annually in monthly fees on top of the annual fee. Your year-two carrying cost becomes $147 before any interest.

4. Credit limit increase fee (25% of the increase): After 12 months of responsible use, you can call Revvi customer service to request a credit limit increase. If approved, you'll be charged 25% of the increase. A $200 increase costs $50.

The bottom line: in year two and beyond, you're paying roughly $147 in fees just to keep the card open, before interest.

How Revvi Cash Back Works

The Revvi Card earns 1% cash back on all eligible purchases. A separate rewards program offers up to 10% cash back at select partner merchants, though this list is limited. Cash back is not redeemable until six months after your account activation date and can only be redeemed in $5 increments as statement credits. You cannot redeem rewards as cash deposits or gift cards.

Understanding User Experiences

The Revvi Card has a mixed reputation across review platforms. Common themes from cardholders:

  • Fee frustration: Many users are surprised by the total first-year cost once the program fee, annual fee, and reduced starting credit limit are factored in
  • Limited merchant acceptance: Some users report issues with PayPal, Square, and certain online retailers declining the card or flagging it as fraudulent
  • Customer service: Difficulty reaching support and resolving billing disputes is a recurring complaint
  • Payment processing: A smaller number of users have experienced duplicate payments debited from their checking account

On the positive side, users who used the card as a strict credit-building tool — paying on time and keeping utilization low — generally report the expected improvement in their credit score over 12–18 months.

Who Should Consider the Revvi Card?

Person using a financial app on their phone to compare credit card options for bad credit in 2026

The Revvi Card makes sense in a narrow set of circumstances. It may be worth considering if you:

  • Have been declined by other credit card issuers and need access to revolving credit
  • Need to establish credit history and have limited alternatives available
  • Have a checking account and can pay the $95 program fee upfront
  • Can afford to pay the balance in full every month to avoid the 35.99% APR
  • View the fees as a short-term investment in your credit history

When to look elsewhere: If you can qualify for a secured card — even one requiring a $200 deposit — you'll almost certainly pay less in fees over the first two years.

Revvi Card: Our Expert Perspective

The Revvi Card fills a real gap for people who have been turned down everywhere else and need access to revolving credit. It's a legitimate Visa card that reports to all three bureaus, works anywhere Visa is accepted, and responsible use will build your credit history over time.

But the costs are steep. Between the program fee, annual fee, and second-year monthly fees, you'll pay around $170 in your first year and $147 every year after that just to keep the card open — before any interest at 35.99%.

Our recommendation: exhaust all alternatives first. If you've been denied by Discover, Capital One, and Chime and genuinely need credit access, the Revvi Card can serve as a short-term stepping stone. Use it for one small recurring charge, pay it off in full every month, and plan to graduate to a better card within 12–18 months once your score improves.
