Capital One 30% Transfer Bonus to Virgin Red: Get 1,300 Virgin Points for Every 1,000 Miles
September 27, 2026

The content on this page is accurate as of the posting date; however, some of the offers mentioned may have expired.
Capital One is offering a 30% bonus when you transfer miles to Virgin Red through November 20, 2026. Transfers normally go at a 1:1 ratio, so during this promotion every 1,000 Capital One miles becomes 1,300 Virgin Points.
If you already have a Virgin Atlantic or partner award in mind, this bonus lowers the number of miles you need to book it. Below, we cover which cards qualify, how to transfer, and when it makes sense to move your miles.

What Is the Capital One to Virgin Red Transfer Bonus?
- Bonus: 30% more Virgin Points on transfers
- Transfer ratio: 1:1.3 during the promotion (normally 1:1)
- Deadline: 11:59 p.m. ET on November 20, 2026
- Minimum transfer: 1,000 miles, then 100-mile increments
Capital One has run this same 30% Virgin Red bonus before. The most recent one ended October 1, 2025, so this promotion tends to come back about once a year.

Which Credit Cards Can Use This Transfer Bonus?

- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Venture X Business

Capital One cash back cards, like the Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card, earn cash rewards rather than miles. If you also hold a miles-earning card, Capital One lets you move rewards between eligible accounts, so check Capital One's terms before planning a transfer from a cash back card.

How to Transfer Capital One Miles to Virgin Red
- Create a Virgin Red account if you don't have one. If you plan to book Virgin Atlantic flights, link your Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account to Virgin Red.
- Log in to Capital One and open your rewards for a miles-earning card.
- Choose to transfer miles and select Virgin Red from the list of partners.
- Link your Virgin Red account to Capital One the first time you transfer.
- Enter the number of miles and confirm the 30% bonus appears in the summary before you submit.
Miles transferred to a partner generally can't be moved back to Capital One, so double-check the amount before you confirm.
How Far Do 30% More Virgin Points Go?
Here's how many Virgin Points you'd receive at the promotional ratio:
- 5,000 Capital One miles = 6,500 Virgin Points
- 10,000 Capital One miles = 13,000 Virgin Points
- 25,000 Capital One miles = 32,500 Virgin Points
- 50,000 Capital One miles = 65,000 Virgin Points
Calculation formulated by Kudos, based on Capital One's 30% transfer bonus applied to a 1:1 base transfer ratio.
Virgin Points can be used for Virgin Atlantic flights and award flights on partner airlines, as well as other Virgin Red rewards. Keep in mind that award tickets can still carry taxes and carrier fees, and those can be high on some Virgin Atlantic flights, especially premium cabin tickets departing London.
Should You Transfer Your Miles Now?
Transfer only if you have a specific redemption in mind and you've confirmed award availability first. Loyalty programs can change award prices at any time, so points sitting in a Virgin Red account carry more risk than miles in your Capital One account.
Capital One miles don't expire for the life of the account, so there's no penalty for waiting until you find the right award. If this bonus ends before you're ready, Capital One's history suggests a similar Virgin Red bonus may return.
