Walmart+ Burger King Benefit: 25% Off Daily and More Than a Quarterly Free Whopper

If you have Walmart+, you have a Burger King discount you may not be using. Members get 25% off one Burger King digital order every day, plus a free Whopper® with a purchase once every calendar quarter.
Cardholders on Reddit are also reporting that the quarterly free item now comes with more choices than just the Whopper. Here's how the benefit works, how to set it up, and how to get Walmart+ itself covered by a credit card.
What Is the Walmart+ Burger King Benefit?
Burger King is the first quick-service restaurant partner for Walmart+, Walmart's paid membership program. The partnership launched in August 2024 and includes two offers:
- 25% off your digital order once per day, on the BK® App or bk.com
- A free Whopper® with any digital purchase once per calendar quarter
Both offers live in the Offers tab of your Burger King Royal Perks account, which is Burger King's free loyalty program. You have to link it to your Walmart+ membership before the offers show up.
How Does the 25% Daily Discount Work?
You get 25% off your digital order total, before taxes and fees, once per day per account. There's no minimum order, so it works on a single coffee or a full family order.
A few rules to know before you check out:
- Digital orders only. Order in the BK® App or on bk.com for pickup or Burger King's own delivery. Third-party apps like DoorDash and Uber Eats don't count.
- Activate it first. Tap the coupon in the Offers tab and add it to your order before you pay.
- No stacking. It can't be combined with other coupons, Mix & Match deals, or the Your Way Meal.
- One-hour gap. You can't use it within one hour of redeeming another Walmart+ Burger King offer.
- Not available everywhere. The offer excludes Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.
Delivery prices are higher than pickup prices at Burger King, so ordering ahead for pickup usually gets you the most out of the 25%.
How Does the Quarterly Free Whopper Work?
Once per calendar quarter, you can get a free Whopper® sandwich with any digital purchase. Quarters reset on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1, so a new one is available now.
You can redeem it through order ahead, Burger King delivery, or dine-in using the 6-digit "My Code" in the BK® App where available. Upsizes and modifications cost extra.
Does a Sauce Count as the Purchase?
No. A popular tip online is to add a 30-cent sauce to unlock the free Whopper, but Burger King's offer terms say condiments can't count toward the purchase requirement. Add a small side or drink instead.
Can You Choose Something Other Than a Whopper?
Walmart+ members on Reddit report that the quarterly offer now includes more options than the Whopper. Burger King's published terms still describe it as a free Whopper, so open the Offers tab in the BK® App to see which items are available on your account. An Impossible™ Whopper isn't one of them, based on member reports.
How to Link Walmart+ and Burger King Royal Perks
Setup takes a couple of minutes, and your Walmart+ and Royal Perks emails don't need to match.
- Open your Walmart+ Benefits hub and tap the Burger King Savings tile.
- Click Get Started Now to go to Burger King's site.
- Click Link Accounts, then sign in to Royal Perks or create a free account.
- Open the Offers tab in the BK® App or on bk.com to find both coupons.
Not seeing the coupons? Make sure you're signed in to Royal Perks and have a participating restaurant selected. If you already used an offer, it shows as grayed out until the next day or quarter.
Can You Get Walmart+ Covered by a Credit Card?
Yes. The Platinum Card® from American Express (See Rates & Fees) offers up to $155 per year in Walmart+ statement credits. You get up to $12.95 back each month, plus applicable taxes, when you pay for one auto-renewing monthly Walmart+ membership with the card.
That covers the monthly membership, which makes the Burger King benefit, along with the rest of Walmart+, available to Platinum cardholders at no extra cost. The credit only applies to the monthly plan, so an annual Walmart+ membership won't trigger it.
