Bilt Rent Day Oct. 2026: Up to 125% Amtrak, 200% Hilton Bonus

Amtrak joined Bilt as a transfer partner only days ago at a 2:1 ratio, which makes a standard transfer fairly ordinary. The bonus changes that. At a 100% bonus, 10,000 Bilt Points become 5,000 Amtrak points plus 5,000 bonus points, so you end up at a 1:1 rate. If you ride Amtrak, even the 25% to 75% tiers can justify a transfer for a trip you already plan to take.

Is the Hilton Transfer Bonus Worth It?

For most people, no. Even at the top 200% tier, 1 Bilt Point becomes 3 Hilton points. Frequent Miler values Hilton points at about 0.35 cents each, which works out to roughly 1 cent per Bilt point. Your points can usually do better at other Bilt partners.

The more useful piece is the free status. Any Hilton transfer on Rent Day unlocks instant Hilton status through December 31, 2026: Silver for Blue and Silver members, Gold for Gold members, and Diamond for Platinum members. A 90-day stay challenge (6 nights for Blue and Silver, 12 for Gold and Platinum) can upgrade or extend it through March 31, 2028.

Can You Stack Rent Day Bonuses With Double Points?

Yes. On October 1, Bilt cardholders also earn double points on eligible purchases, excluding housing and tax payments. If you hold a Bilt Blue Card, Bilt Obsidian Card or Bilt Palladium Card (See Rates & Fees), put your planned spending that day on the card and check your Rent Day terms for any cap on bonus points.

One rule applies to every transfer: point transfers are generally irreversible. Only move Bilt Points you have a concrete plan to use, even with a bonus attached.

The Bottom Line

If you ride Amtrak, October 1 is the best time yet to move Bilt Points there, especially at Gold status or above. Skip the Hilton bonus unless you want the free elite status, and in that case a small transfer is enough to trigger it.
