Capital One is offering a 20% bonus on transfers to British Airways Club through Oct. 31, 2026, which turns 1,000 miles into 1,200 Avios. Capital One tends to run this promotion about once a year, so it is worth a look if you hold Capital One miles.

How the Capital One to British Airways Bonus Works
From Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, 2026, transfers from Capital One miles to British Airways Club earn a 20% bonus. The usual 1:1 ratio becomes 1,000 Capital One miles for 1,200 Avios.
Any Capital One card that earns miles can use the bonus, and they all transfer at the same ratio:
- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Venture X Business
- Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Spark Miles for Business
- Capital One Spark Miles Select for Business
The bonus is applied on Capital One's side, so it shows up at the time of transfer and no registration is required.

Is a 20% Bonus Good for Avios?
Transfer bonuses to British Airways typically run 20% to 40% across the major points programs, so 20% sits at the low end of the range. Capital One ran a 20% bonus around the same time last year. Because Capital One rarely offers more, it is the best you are likely to see from this issuer on this route. If you already planned to move miles to Avios, the bonus is free value. If you hadn't, it is not a reason to start.

Does the Bonus Have a Limit?
Reporting on the offer lists no cap on bonus points, and transfers are generally instant. Capital One's own terms govern, so read the offer details in your account before you move miles.
Transfers are one-way. Once your miles are Avios, you can't move them back, so only transfer what you plan to book.
Where Can You Use Avios?
Avios can move between British Airways, Aer Lingus AerClub, Finnair Plus, Iberia Club, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club, which makes them flexible. Qatar Airways is now an Avios airline and releases some business class award space to Avios redeemers, though availability is limited.
