Kudos Flash Boost August 2026: Travel Rates Climb Again, Plus a Surprise Debut
July 1, 2025

Travel merchants keep climbing, Boost Mobile holds its 50% high, and a wellness brand nobody expected just showed up at 8% back.
If July was the month travel rates finally got interesting, August is the month they got serious.
StubHub leads the pack this time, jumping from 2% to 7%. Hotels.com, VRBO, and Expedia all pushed higher too. And Boost Mobile isn't going anywhere. It's holding steady at last month's 50% rate, which is still the highest number on the board.
But the merchant worth talking about this month isn't a household name. It's Life Extension, a supplement and wellness brand that went from 0% to 8% back with zero warning. More on that below.

August's Full Rate List
- StubHub: 2% → 7%
- Boost Mobile: 50% (holding steady)
- Woot!: 3% → 8%
- Life Extension: 0% → 8% (new to Flash Boost)
- Expedia: 3.5% → 6%
- Hotels.com: 4% → 6%
- VRBO: 2% → 6%
- HSN: 2% → 5%
- eBay: 1% → 4%
- Etsy: 2% → 4%
- Best Buy: 0% → 1%
Resale and Travel Are Having a Moment
StubHub's jump to 7% is the standout here, more than triple last month's rate, and it lands right as concert and sports resale prices are climbing into fall. If you've got tickets on your radar, this is the month to book through Kudos instead of direct.
The rest of travel moved up in step: Expedia and Hotels.com both landed at 6%, and VRBO followed right behind. None of these hit July's 8% peak, but the consistency across four different travel merchants at once says more than any single number does. If a trip is on the calendar, this is the stretch to lock it in.
The Debut Nobody Predicted
Life Extension showing up at 8% back is an unusual one. It's not a category Flash Boost has touched before, and an 8% rate right out of the gate puts it ahead of nearly everything else on this list. If you already buy supplements or vitamins there, this is essentially free money you weren't expecting. If you don't, it might be worth a look anyway. 8% back is a rare starting rate for any new merchant.
Woot! also had a strong showing, more than doubling from 3% to 8%, tying it with Life Extension for the second-highest rate this month behind StubHub.
The Part Most People Skip
Every rate above is the Boost layer. It stacks on top of whatever your card already earns, but there's a second layer sitting underneath that most people never activate: card-linked offers straight from Amex, Chase, Citi, and Bank of America. These refresh every few days and are scattered across four separate issuer logins, which is exactly why almost nobody claims them.
Kudos auto-activates these in the background once your issuer login is saved. Combined with this month's Boost rates, especially StubHub, Woot!, and Life Extension, that's three layers of savings stacking on a single purchase.
Kudos Free vs. Kudos Premium
Kudos Free already covers the essentials: card recommendations at checkout, Boost cashback, approval odds, and your full wallet in one place.
Kudos Premium builds on top of that:
- Benefits Tracker. Every credit and perk across every card, tracked with real-time progress bars and an annual fee vs. value breakdown, so you know which cards are still worth keeping.
- Auto-activated card offers. Kudos activates your Amex, Chase, Citi, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo card-linked offers automatically, the layer that stacks directly on top of every rate above.
- AI bill negotiation. An AI agent calls your phone, internet, cable, or home security provider and negotiates your bill down. You keep 100% of the savings.
- Location Cheatsheet. Open the app anywhere and see your best card for that exact spot, with a home screen widget on iOS and Android.
- Kudos AI. Ask it anything about your spending, subscriptions, or which Flash Boost rates you haven't used yet.
- Subscription tracking and automatic cancellation.
- 2 years of transaction history, unlocked instantly on upgrade.
- Welcome bonus tracker, with smart alerts as you approach spending targets.
Want Premium for life instead of a subscription? Kudos Premium Lifetime is a one-time $240 payment for permanent access to everything above, plus everything built after.
The Bottom Line
StubHub at 7% is this month's number to act on if resale tickets are anywhere on your radar. Travel broadly (Expedia, Hotels.com, VRBO) is the category to plan around. And Life Extension's out-of-nowhere 8% debut, alongside Woot!'s jump to match it, rounds out a month with more range than usual.
All rates expire at the end of the day on August 31st, 2026!
