National Sandwich Day 2026 Deals: How to Earn Up to 7% Back on Your Order

National Sandwich Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and more than a dozen chains are running BOGO deals, $5 sandwiches and free subs to mark it. Most of these deals live inside a rewards app, so you already have to order digitally.
That makes the card you pay with the second half of the deal. Two cards have restaurants as a bonus category right now: the Chase Freedom Flex® earns 7% on dining and the Discover it® Cash Back earns 5% at restaurants this quarter, once you activate.

When Is National Sandwich Day 2026?
National Sandwich Day falls on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Most offers below are good for that day only, but a few start early or run longer.
Subway's BOGO Footlong runs through Nov. 8, and Farmer Boys, Habit Burger and the Pepsi x DoorDash offer extend through Nov. 4. McAlister's and Schlotzsky's deals are already live and end on Nov. 3.
What Is the Best Credit Card for National Sandwich Day?
For most people, it is the Chase Freedom Flex, which pays 7% back on dining through Dec. 31, 2026. The Discover it Cash Back is a close second at 5% on restaurants for the same quarter.
Both require activation, and both bonuses share a $1,500 quarterly spending cap with other categories. Activate tonight so tomorrow's order counts.
Chase Freedom Flex: 7% on Dining

The Freedom Flex already earns 3% on dining, including takeout and delivery, all year. For Q4 2026, dining is also one of Chase's 5% rotating categories, and Chase stacks the two for 7% total.
The 5% quarterly bonus covers up to $1,500 in combined purchases across dining, grocery stores (excluding Walmart and Target) and American Red Cross donations, then dining returns to 3% and other purchases to 1%. You need to activate the bonus by Dec. 14, 2026, and it applies to purchases made from Oct. 1 once activated.
Freedom Flex + Paze: Up to 17x on Online Orders
Chase is also paying 10 additional points per dollar when you check out with Paze using an eligible card, on up to $1,500 in Paze purchases per month through Dec. 31, 2026. Stack that with the Freedom Flex's 7x on dining and an online restaurant order can earn up to 17x.
Paze only works online, and the big chains above mostly use their own apps. You are more likely to see it at local sandwich shops that take online orders through Clover, so it is worth checking your neighborhood deli's website tomorrow. Confirm the 10x Paze offer appears in your Chase account before you rely on it.
On a $20 order, 17x works out to 340 points, or $3.40 back.

Discover it Cash Back: 5% at Restaurants
The Discover it Cash Back earns 5% at restaurants, entertainment and utilities from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2026, on up to $1,500 in combined purchases when you activate, then 1%. Activation stays open through Dec. 31, but Discover does not backdate, so anything you buy before activating earns 1%.
Discover cards are now issued by Capital One, and many accounts have moved to the Capital One app. If yours has migrated, activate the 5% categories there instead of on Discover.com.
How Much Can You Earn?
- Chase Freedom Flex®: 7% on dining within a $1,500 combined quarterly cap, then 3% on dining. Earnings on the full cap: $105. Activate by Dec. 14, 2026.
- Discover it® Cash Back: 5% at restaurants within a $1,500 combined quarterly cap, then 1%. Earnings on the full cap: $75. Activate before you spend, through Dec. 31, 2026.
On a $20 sandwich order, that works out to $1.40 back with the Freedom Flex and $1.00 back with the Discover it, on top of whatever the restaurant deal saves you.

- 7-Eleven: $1 fountain drink or Big Gulp with any sandwich on Nov. 3 for 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members.
- Big Buns: BOGO 50% off chicken sandwiches on Nov. 3 with code SAMMIEDAY online, or mention it in store.
- Capriotti's: BOGO 50% off subs of any size on Nov. 3 for CapAddicts Rewards members, in store, online or in the app.
- Farmer Boys: $5.99 Bacon Turkey Melt on Nov. 3 and 4 for loyalty members ordering in restaurant or in the app. Combos and third-party delivery are excluded.
- Firehouse Subs: Free medium sub on orders of $15 or more on Nov. 3 through the app or website.
- Habit Burger: Each location gives away 50 free Gotta Habit Meals daily through Nov. 4 during a surprise one-hour window. App members get a two-hour early alert, and drop times are also posted on Instagram.
- Jersey Mike's: Free delivery on orders of $5 or more on Nov. 3 through the app or website.
- Jimmy John's: BOGO free sandwich on Nov. 3 for rewards members with code SANDWICH in the app or online. Single use, and it cannot be combined with other discounts.
- Makers Union: BOGO 50% off burgers, sandwiches and handhelds on Nov. 3.
- McAlister's Deli: $5 regular sandwich through Nov. 3 for rewards members ordering through McAlister's own digital channels. Limit one per member, and catering and third-party delivery are excluded.
- Penn Station East Coast Subs: Free small sub with any regular sub, sandwich, wrap or bowl on Nov. 3 with code NS26 online or in the app.
- DoorDash with Pepsi: $15 off a cart of $25 or more that includes a Pepsi-Cola drink on Nov. 3 or 4, applied at checkout.
- Potbelly: Free Original sandwich or wrap with any Big or Original on Nov. 3 with code BOGO in the app or online.
- Quiznos: $5 off a first mobile order for new Quiznos Rewards members who sign up around Sandwich Day.

How to Stack Sandwich Day Deals With Card Rewards
The restaurant deal and your card's cash back come from different places, so you get both. A BOGO lowers the bill, and the card earns its rate on whatever you pay.
- Activate your Q4 bonus categories tonight: Chase by Dec. 14, Discover (or the Capital One app, if your account has migrated) by Dec. 31.
- Join the chain's rewards program and load the deal or code before checkout.
- Order directly in the chain's app or website. Most of these deals exclude third-party delivery, and ordering direct also keeps the purchase coded as a restaurant.
- Pay with the card that earns the most. If you have hit the Freedom Flex's $1,500 cap, switch to the Discover it, or the other way around.
- Check your issuer's merchant offers (Chase Offers or Capital One Offers) for an extra statement credit at the same chain.
Purchases at convenience stores like 7-Eleven usually code as gas or convenience, not dining, so they may not earn the restaurant rate. When in doubt, Kudos tells you how a merchant codes and which card to use before you pay.

Where can I get a free sandwich on National Sandwich Day?
Subway, Jimmy John's and Potbelly all offer a free sandwich with the purchase of another on Nov. 3. Penn Station adds a free small sub, and Firehouse Subs gives a free medium sub on orders of $15 or more.
Does the Chase Freedom Flex really earn 7% on dining?
Yes, for Q4 2026. The card's everyday 3% dining rate combines with the 4% quarterly bonus for 7% total, on up to $1,500 in combined bonus-category purchases after activation.
Do I need to activate my card to earn the bonus?
Yes. Chase requires activation by Dec. 14, 2026, and Discover by Dec. 31, 2026. Without it, the Freedom Flex earns 3% on dining and the Discover it earns 1%.
Can I use these card bonuses on DoorDash?
The Freedom Flex's dining rate includes takeout and delivery. Whether a delivery app order earns a rotating restaurant bonus depends on how the merchant codes, so check your issuer's terms or use Kudos to see before you pay.
Does ordering through a delivery app cancel the restaurant deal?
Often, yes. McAlister's and Farmer Boys explicitly exclude third-party delivery, and most other deals require the chain's own app or website.
Can I earn more than 7% back on a sandwich order?
