What Is Function Health?
Function Health is a preventive lab testing platform that runs 160+ biomarkers twice a year — roughly 10x more than a standard annual physical.
Most annual physicals order 15 to 20 tests. Function covers what they miss: advanced cardiovascular markers like ApoB and Lp(a), full hormone panels, thyroid function beyond just TSH, metabolic health indicators, nutritional deficiencies, and inflammatory markers linked to chronic disease.
Each testing round includes a clinician-reviewed report inside the Function app with context on your results and talking points for your doctor. It is not a replacement for medical care. It is a way to walk into your next appointment with real data.

How to Claim Your $182.50 Credit
Step 1: Activate the offer
Open the Chase Mobile app, tap "Chase Offers," find Function Health, and tap "Add to Card." Do this before purchasing or the credit will not trigger.
Step 2: Purchase your membership
Go to FunctionHealth.com and select the annual membership ($365). Pay with your enrolled Chase Sapphire card. Monthly plans do not qualify.
Step 3: Watch for your credit
Credits typically post within 4 to 7 business days. Contact Chase if nothing appears within 8 weeks.
One important note on promo codes: if a discount code drops your total below $365 after taxes, the Chase Offer will not trigger. Only use codes if your final charge stays at or above $365.
The HSA/FSA Double-Dip
Function Health purchases qualify for HSA and FSA reimbursement. That means you can stack your Chase credit with your health savings account.
Here is how it works: pay with your Chase Sapphire Reserve® and receive $182.50 back as a statement credit. Then submit your receipt to your HSA or FSA for reimbursement on the remaining balance. Depending on your plan, your net cost could be $0.
This is especially useful if you have FSA funds expiring soon. Confirm eligibility with your plan administrator before purchasing.
Is Function Health Worth It?
Worth it if you:
- Want a comprehensive health baseline your doctor has never run
- Are optimizing for energy, hormones, longevity, or athletic performance
- Have HSA or FSA funds to use (potential $0 net cost with stacking)
- Are already paying for fragmented testing elsewhere
Skip it if you:
- Won't engage with the results
