Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business: Edit Credit Doubles to $1,000 (2027)

Chase is doubling the Sapphire Reserve for Business Edit credit on the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠, from up to $500 a year to up to $1,000 starting January 1, 2027. It is also adding a spending cap to one of the card's most unusual earning categories. One change helps almost every cardholder. The other affects very few.

How the New Sapphire Reserve for Business Edit Credit Works
In 2026, the card offers two statement credits of up to $250 each for stays of two nights or more at The Edit by Chase Travel℠ properties booked through Chase Travel℠. From January 1, 2027, that becomes four credits of up to $250 each, usable throughout the year.
Each Edit booking also comes with its own set of perks:
- Daily breakfast for two
- A $100 property credit per booking
- A room upgrade at check-in, when available
- Early check-in and late checkout, when available
- Complimentary Wi-Fi where the property offers it
Kudos tracks the credits and benefits on each card you hold, so you can see how much of a $1,000 hotel credit you have actually used before the year runs out.

The New Cap on Advertising Points
The card has earned 3 points per $1 on social media and search engine advertising with no limit. Starting November 15, 2026, that rate applies to the first $1 million in eligible advertising spending each account anniversary year, then drops to 1 point per $1.
For the first year, Chase counts spending from November 15, 2026, through the statement that shows your next annual fee. After that, the $1 million cap resets every account anniversary year. Chase says the vast majority of cardholders will not be affected.

Does the Bigger Credit Cover the $795 Annual Fee?
On paper, yes. Four fully used credits total $1,000, which is $205 more than the card's $795 annual fee.
Calculation formulated by Kudos, based on four Edit credits of up to $250 each against the $795 annual fee.
In practice, the math only works if you would book four separate stays of two nights or more at Edit properties anyway. These are upscale hotels, and prepaid rates are often well above the $250 credit. If your business travel runs to two or three trips a year, count only the credits you will actually use.
The card also earns 8 points per $1 on travel booked through Chase Travel℠, including The Edit, and 4 points per $1 on flights and hotels booked directly, which adds value on the same trips.
The Bottom Line
The bigger Edit credit makes the card easier to justify for business owners who already stay at upscale hotels several times a year. The advertising cap only matters if your ad spend tops $1 million a year. If your travel is lighter, value the card on the credits you will actually redeem.
