AmEx Resy Credit Guide 2026: Up to $400 in Free Dining, Explained
July 1, 2025

If you have an American Express card with a Resy dining credit, your benefit just got a whole lot more valuable. Resy recently announced the integration of Tock into its platform — meaning over 25,000 restaurants and wineries will now be bookable in one place. That includes Michelin-starred fine dining, buzzy neighborhood spots, and more than 1,200 wineries across the country.
Here's everything you need to know about how the Resy credit works, what's changing, and how to make sure you never leave a dollar on the table.
What Is the Resy Credit?
Several American Express cards include an annual statement credit for dining at eligible U.S. Resy restaurants. Depending on your card, here's what you get:
- American Express Platinum Card®: Up to $400/year ($100 per quarter)
- American Express® Gold Card: Up to $100/year ($50 semiannually)
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card: Up to $240/year ($20/month)
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card: Up to $240/year ($20/month)
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card: Up to $120/year ($10/month)
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card: Up to $120/year ($10/month)
Enrollment is required, but it's a one-time step. After that, the credit works automatically every time you dine at an eligible restaurant and pay with your enrolled card.

How to Use Your Resy Credit (Step by Step)
Step 1: Enroll Your Card
Log in to your Amex account and enroll your card in the Resy benefit. You only need to do this once.
Step 2: Find an Eligible Restaurant
Browse Resy.com or the Resy app to find participating restaurants in your city. With 10,000+ locations across 1,600+ U.S. cities - and Tock's network now being added - options range from casual neighborhood bistros to Michelin-starred destinations.
Step 3: Dine and Pay With Your Enrolled Card
Here's the key detail most people miss: you don't need to book through Resy to earn the credit. Simply pay with your enrolled AmEx card at any eligible Resy restaurant, and the credit triggers automatically based on the merchant.
A few other things worth knowing:
- Tips and taxes count toward your credit threshold
- Apple Pay and mobile wallets work
- You can split across multiple visits in the same quarter (e.g., two $50 dinners)
- U.S. restaurants only
Step 4: Track Your Credits
One thing worth knowing: Kudos tracks all of this for you. Credits typically post within a few days, though AmEx allows up to 8 weeks. The Platinum's $100 quarterly credit is use-it-or-lose-it. Unused credits don't roll over, so Kudos makes sure you never miss the window.
What's New: Resy + Tock Merger
Tock - originally a Chase dining partner before being acquired by Amex in 2024 - is now being fully integrated into Resy. This is a big deal for cardholders because it brings Tock's entire network into the Resy ecosystem, including:
- Michelin-starred restaurants like Alinea (Chicago), Atomix (NYC), Lazy Bear (San Francisco), Canlis (Seattle), and Blue Hill at Stone Barns (Westchester)
- 1,200+ wineries, including Scribe Winery, Heitz Cellar, Ridge Vineyards, and Antica Terra
- Tiered and pre-paid dining experiences previously only available through Tock
The Tock consumer app and exploretock.com will be decommissioned as venues transition fully to the Resy platform. For AmEx cardholders, this means your existing Resy credits now stretch further than ever.
Never Miss a Resy Credit Again — Use Kudos
The biggest risk with quarterly credits? Forgetting to use them before they expire.
That's where Kudos comes in. Kudos' Hidden Perks feature automatically tracks your Resy credit usage across all quarters — so you always know exactly how much credit you've used and how much is left. You'll get notifications before credits are about to expire, so you're never caught off guard at the end of a quarter.
Beyond Resy credits, Kudos helps you:
- Track all your card benefits in one place
- Get notified before any credit expires
- Maximize rewards across every purchase
With the Resy network now expanding to 25,000+ venues thanks to the Tock integration, there's never been a better time to make sure you're getting every dollar of your dining credit.
The Bottom Line
The Resy credit is one of the easiest ways to offset the annual fee on your AmEx Platinum or Gold card, but only if you actually use it. With Tock's network now merging into Resy, the selection of eligible restaurants and wineries is growing dramatically, giving cardholders even more flexibility.
Browse the expanded Resy network, and let Kudos handle the reminding and the tracking. Free dining money shouldn't go to waste.
