Premium field-level seats at an MLB stadium — redeemable with Capital One miles or cash back through the Capital One Entertainment portal in 2026

If you have Capital One miles or cash back sitting around, this is one of the best ways to use them. Capital One cardholders can redeem rewards for exclusive, discounted baseball tickets at all 30 MLB stadiums through the Capital One Entertainment portal.

What Is the Capital One MLB Ticket Redemption Program?

Capital One is the official bank and credit card partner of Major League Baseball. Through that partnership, eligible cardholders can book exclusive seats at MLB games throughout the regular season and postseason.

The deal: $40 in cash back or 5,000 miles per seat, often for premium field-level seats that go for $150 to $300+ on the open market. That's up to 6 cents per mile in value, which is well above what you'd typically get from a standard travel redemption.

What's New for June & July 2026

  • Miles now accepted (as of May 15, 2026): Venture and Venture X miles can now be used, not just cash back.
  • June and July 2026 games are live at the Capital One Entertainment portal.
  • You can book up to 3 games per account per day.

Keep in mind: bigger markets like the Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, and Red Sox sell out fast. Teams in smaller markets (Kansas City, Cleveland, Tampa) tend to have better availability.

How to Find the Discounted Tickets

The exclusive seats are limited to about 4 per game, and they're not always easy to find once they're mixed in with third-party inventory. Here's what to do:

  1. Go to the Capital One Entertainment portal and select MLB.
  2. Browse by team and date. If the exclusive seats are still available, the portal will show only those seats at $40 or 5,000 miles.
  3. If you see lots of seats at a range of prices, the exclusive allocation is probably gone. Those are third-party tickets at a much worse redemption value.
  4. Look for the "Cardholder Exclusive by Capital One" label to confirm you've found the right seats.
  5. If you see "Vivid Seats" instead, those are not the discounted exclusives.

Is This Worth It?

For the exclusive seats, yes, almost always.

The math is hard to argue with. At 5,000 miles or $40 cash back per seat, you're looking at a market value of roughly $150 to $300 depending on the team and game, which works out to anywhere from 3 to 6 cents per mile. That's two to four times what you'd typically get from a standard travel redemption, where 5,000 miles might net you $50 to $75 in value, or about 1 to 1.5 cents per mile.

Cash back cardholders fare even better in relative terms. Redeeming $40 in cash back for a seat that would otherwise cost $150 or more on the secondary market is one of the strongest redemption rates available on any Capital One product.

The caveat: once the exclusive cardholder seats are gone, the regular secondary market tickets that appear in the portal are a different story. At that point you're paying market rate with your rewards, and the value drops significantly. If the exclusive allocation is sold out, it's usually better to save your miles for the next drop rather than overpay through the portal.

Postseason and Special Events

The program runs through the playoffs too. In past years, Capital One has offered:

  • Wild Card and Division Series tickets (expect pricing around $100 cash back or 12,500 miles per seat)
  • League Championship and World Series packages with perks like field access, meet-and-greets with legends, and pre-game receptions
  • All-Star Week experiences

Postseason tickets move faster and cost more than regular season, so compare against market rates before you redeem.

Tips for Getting the Best Seats

  • Move fast. High-demand markets like NY, LA, and Boston can sell out within minutes of going live.
  • Set alerts. Sign up for deal notifications so you're not late to the drop.
  • Consider road trips. If home games are gone, check away games when your team is playing in a smaller market. Availability is usually much better.
  • Watch the 3-game limit. You can book up to 3 games per account per day. Go over that and the extra orders will likely get canceled.
  • These tickets are non-refundable and can't be resold. Resale is restricted for Cardholder Exclusive events, so only book what you'll actually use.

How to Get More Out of Your Capital One Rewards

If you're earning Capital One rewards, make sure you're stacking them efficiently before the next redemption window opens.

  • Using a Venture X or Venture card for everyday spending is one of the more efficient ways to build up your miles balance, particularly if you book travel through Capital One Travel, where bonus earn rates apply.
  • Activate card-linked offers before any stadium or travel purchases. Many issuers run merchant-specific promotions that stack on top of your base earn rate.
  • Check which card in your wallet earns the most before buying concessions, merch, or parking.

Kudos can help with this automatically. It identifies the best card to use at checkout and surfaces card-linked offers you might not know about, so your rewards balance grows faster.

The Bottom Line

At $40 or 5,000 miles per premium seat, the Capital One MLB ticket redemption program is a genuinely good deal, especially if you can snag seats in a market where tickets are otherwise expensive. June and July 2026 games are live now. Log in, search your team, and move quickly.
