Is the 100K Chase Sapphire Preferred® Offer Still Available?
No. The 100,000-point public offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card has ended, and so has the most recent limited-time 100K offer. When this page was updated in October 2026, Chase's public offer was 75,000 bonus points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
The card has a $95 annual fee. Its variable APR is 19.49% to 27.74%, based on your creditworthiness, according to Chase's card page.

Chase raises the Sapphire Preferred offer from time to time, so a 100K offer could return. Until then, the redemption ideas below work for any large balance of Chase Ultimate Rewards® points, whether it comes from the current welcome offer, everyday spending, or both.
What Are Chase Sapphire Preferred® Points Worth?
The value of your points depends on how you use them. Chase now offers three main paths for Sapphire Preferred cardholders, and the gap between them can be large.
- Chase Travel℠ with Points Boost: Chase says points can be worth up to 1.5x on top-booked hotels and flights with select airlines. Offers rotate, so the boosted value is not available on every booking.
- Airline transfer partners: Most partners transfer at a 1:1 ratio, so 1,000 Chase points become 1,000 airline miles or points.
- World of Hyatt: Sapphire Preferred points now transfer to Hyatt at a 4:3 ratio, meaning 1,000 Chase points become 750 Hyatt points. Older accounts kept a 1:1 rate only through September 30, 2026.
At the 4:3 ratio, the current 75,000-point welcome offer would become 56,250 World of Hyatt points if you moved all of it to Hyatt.
Calculation formulated by Kudos, based on Chase's published 4:3 World of Hyatt transfer ratio applied to the 75,000-point welcome offer.

How the Kudos Team Would Redeem a Big Sapphire Preferred® Bonus
We asked a few people on the Kudos team how they would spend a large balance of Chase points. Award prices change often, so check live pricing with the airline or hotel before you transfer anything.
Meara's Strategy: A Beach Villa in the Maldives

Meara likes using points for stays she would never pay cash for. Her pick is the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, booked by transferring points to World of Hyatt, one of Chase's hotel partners.
Because Hyatt transfers now run at 4:3, she would check the nightly award price first and work out how many Chase points it takes before moving any. Luxury resorts are where hotel points tend to stretch furthest against the cash rate.
"Why not use points for something truly special?"
Tikue's Strategy: Upper Class to London

Tikue Anazodo, our co-founder and CEO, prefers airline transfers for premium cabins. He would move points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and look for Upper Class seats to London. Upper Class is Virgin Atlantic's business class cabin, with seats that convert to flat beds.
He notes that Virgin Atlantic awards can come with taxes and carrier charges paid in cash, which can be substantial. Compare those costs with the cash fare before you book.
Kat's Strategy: A Multi-City Trip Through Europe

Kat would rather spread points across several experiences than spend them on one splurge. She would transfer points to Air France-KLM Flying Blue and look for an award with a stopover in Paris or Amsterdam, turning one trip into two or three cities.
Flying Blue stopovers are typically booked by phone, and the rules have changed over the years. Confirm with Flying Blue that your itinerary qualifies before you transfer points.
"Why see just one city when you can experience three?"
Eric's Strategy: A Family Trip to Orlando

Eric plans travel for a family of four. Living in New York City, a JetBlue hub, he would transfer points to JetBlue TrueBlue for flights to Orlando, then use World of Hyatt points for a Hyatt House near Universal Orlando Resort.
Splitting a balance between a domestic airline partner and a midrange hotel can cover a full family trip. Off-peak dates usually price lower on both sides.
"With a family of four, cash prices for flights and hotels add up quickly. Using points lets us enjoy a week-long vacation that would otherwise strain our budget."
Who Is Eligible for the Sapphire Preferred® Welcome Offer?
Chase's card page says the new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you previously held this card. Chase also says it may consider the number of cards you have opened and closed when deciding eligibility.
Many applicants also run into the Chase 5/24 rule, an unpublished guideline under which Chase tends to decline applicants who opened five or more personal cards across all banks in the past 24 months. Check your recent accounts before you apply.
Kudos can help here too. The free Kudos app shows your approval odds for cards before you apply, so you can see where you stand without guessing.
Key Principles for Using Chase Ultimate Rewards® Points
- Price it both ways: Compare a Points Boost booking in Chase Travel with the same trip booked through a transfer partner.
- Transfer only when you are ready to book: Find award space first, then move the exact number of points you need.
- Account for the Hyatt ratio: Every 1,000 Chase points now buys 750 Hyatt points, so recheck any Hyatt plan you made under the old 1:1 rate.
- Watch for off-peak pricing: Many airline and hotel programs charge fewer points outside peak dates.
- Factor in taxes and fees: Some airline partners add cash surcharges that cut into the value of an award.
Once you have the card, the free Kudos browser extension recommends which card in your wallet earns the most at online checkout, so dining, online grocery and travel purchases land on the Sapphire Preferred when it earns 3x or more.
Final Thoughts: Is the Sapphire Preferred® Still Worth It Without 100K?
For many travelers, yes. The current 75,000-point offer is smaller than the 100K peak, but the card still pairs a $95 annual fee with flexible points, a $100 Chase Travel hotel credit each account anniversary year, and transfers to airline and hotel partners.
The main change since the 100K offers is redemption math. With Points Boost values that vary by booking and Hyatt moving to a 4:3 ratio, it pays to price each trip before you redeem. If you are not eligible for the bonus or a 100K offer returns later, decide based on how much of the card's earning and credits you would actually use.
