Amex Platinum Wellness Credits and Lounge Access in 2026: How to Unlock $1,100+ in Value

The American Express Platinum Card®'s $895 annual fee gets all the attention. What gets less attention is that most of the value sitting on the card never gets used, because almost every credit requires you to enroll first. No enrollment, no credit, even if you spend at the right merchant with the right card.
Below is every wellness credit and lounge benefit on the card in 2026, what each one is actually worth, and the fine print that trips people up.

The Wellness Layer: $1,100 per Year
$300 Equinox Credit
Use it toward an Equinox club membership or the Equinox+ app. You must enroll in the benefit through your Amex account before the credit applies, so do that before your first charge hits.
One warning: Equinox memberships auto-renew on your card. If you sign up for the credit and stop going, set a calendar reminder to cancel before your renewal date. Otherwise, you are paying full gym prices to harvest a $300 credit, which is not a win.
$300 lululemon Credit
Added in the 2025 refresh, this one pays out as up to $75 in statement credits per quarter at lululemon stores and lululemon.com in the US (outlets excluded). The quarterly structure matters: skip a quarter and that $75 is gone. Enrollment required.
$200 Oura Ring Credit
Enroll in your Amex benefits dashboard, then buy the ring directly at oura.com with your Platinum card. The credit covers ring hardware only. Memberships, chargers, gift cards, and purchases through Amazon or Best Buy do not qualify. Credits typically post quickly but can take up to eight weeks, so do not panic if it is not instant.
$300 Digital Entertainment Credit
Up to $25 per month back on eligible subscriptions, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, Peacock, Paramount+, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Like everything else here, it requires enrollment, and it is use-it-or-lose-it each month. If you already pay for two of these services, this credit alone covers a third of the annual fee.
The Lounge Layer
Centurion Lounges
You get unlimited visits to Amex's flagship lounges as a Platinum cardmember. Guests are where it gets complicated: guest access costs $50 per person ($30 for kids 2 to 17) unless you spend $75,000 on the card in a calendar year, which unlocks two complimentary guests per visit.
Two new rules take effect July 8, 2026. First, any guest you bring must be on the same flight as you. Second, if you are on a layover, you can only enter the lounge within five hours of your connecting flight. The standard three-hour window before your first departure has not changed.
Delta Sky Club
Platinum cardmembers get 10 visits per year (February 1 through January 31) when flying a same-day Delta-operated or Delta-marketed flight. Spend $75,000 in a calendar year and visits become unlimited.
A useful quirk: all Sky Club entries within 24 hours count as a single visit. Lounge at your home airport, again on your layover, again on arrival, and you have only used one of your 10.
Priority Pass Select
This one is the most commonly missed benefit on the entire card because it is not automatic. You have to enroll through your Amex account to receive your Priority Pass membership. Once you do, you get access to 1,500+ lounges worldwide. Enroll now, even if you have no trips planned, so it is ready when you need it.
Plaza Premium and Partner Lounges
The Global Lounge Collection also includes Plaza Premium lounges and select partner locations. Most cardholders have no idea these are included. Before your next international trip, check which lounges are at your departure airport. You may have access you have never used.
The Math
That is $1,100 in wellness credits alone, before you count a single lounge visit, and before the card's hotel, Resy, and Uber credits, which are a topic for another post.
Why Most of This Value Goes Unused
Amex structures these benefits in monthly and quarterly increments with individual enrollment requirements for a reason. Breakage is the business model. A $300 streaming credit sounds simple until it becomes twelve separate $25 deadlines you have to remember.
This is exactly the problem Kudos solves. Do Amex Platinum credits roll over?
No. Monthly and quarterly credits expire if unused. The Oura and Equinox credits are annual but reset each calendar year.
Can I bring guests into Centurion Lounges for free?
Only if you spend $75,000 on your card in a calendar year, which unlocks two complimentary guests. Otherwise, guests are $50 each, and starting July 8, 2026, all guests must be on your flight.
Is the Oura credit valid on the Oura membership?
No. It applies to ring hardware purchased directly at oura.com only.
