Best Credit Card for StubHub: World Cup 2026 Edition
July 1, 2025

World Cup 2026 tickets are expensive. But if you shop through Kudos, you can stack three reward layers on StubHub purchases and get a significant chunk of that money back.
Here's how it works.
The Stack
When you shop StubHub with Kudos, you can combine your base card rewards and a Kudos Boost in a single checkout. Depending on your card, potentially more on top.
Right now, that looks like this:
- Card: Chase Freedom Flex® base rewards: 1% back
- Activated card-linked offer: 5% back at StubHub with Chase (YMMV - these are targeted but always worth checking!)
- Kudos Boost: 8% back
- Total: up to 14% back
On a $500 ticket, that's $70 back. On a $1,000 seat at the final, you're looking at $140.

Have a Chase Sapphire Reserve? You Can Stack Even More.
If you're a Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholder, there's an additional layer available right now that pushes your return well past 14%.
Here's what the full CSR stack looks like on a $1,000 ticket:
- $150 StubHub statement credit (CSR cardholders get up to $150 back per half-year, $300 total annually through December 2027)
- ~$100 in Ultimate Rewards points via the 10x Paze bonus (worth up to $200 when redeemed through Chase Travel or transfer partners)
- $80 Kudos Boost cash back (8%)
- ~$15 base card rewards
Total: $300–$400+ in value on a $1,000 purchase.
To use Paze at StubHub checkout, link your Chase card to Paze first. In the Chase mobile app, go to Manage account → Add card to digital wallets. Note: your StubHub and Chase accounts need to use the same email address for Paze to work at checkout. Here's the full breakdown to unlock this.
Don't have the Reserve? Freedom and Chase Sapphire Preferred® cardholders can still earn the 10x Paze bonus on StubHub purchases. You just won't get the statement credit offset.
Step 1: Activate the Card-Linked Offer Before You Buy
Kudos Premium automatically activates eligible card-linked offers at checkout, so you don't have to remember to do it manually. If you see a "Earn 5% back" banner on StubHub, it's already working for you.

CLOs can expire and sometimes have spend caps, so it's worth activating as soon as you see it, not after.
Step 2: Pay With Chase Freedom Flex
For most people, Kudos recommends Chase Freedom Flex for StubHub, as it combines 1% base cashback with the CLO you just activated. The extension reads your wallet in real time and surfaces the card that earns you the most at each specific merchant. If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, make sure to pay through Paze to capture the 10x points bonus!
Step 3: Activate the 8% Boost
Before you hit checkout, open Kudos and tap "Activate 8% Boost." That's the layer that pushes your total return to 14% or higher if you're stacking with the CSR.
If you skip this step, you leave the biggest piece on the table.
Why It Matters for the World Cup
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is the first to be hosted across three countries: the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with 16 host cities in total. Demand is high, and StubHub prices reflect that.
Group stage tickets commonly run $150 to $500. Knockout rounds start higher. Seats at the final can go well above $1,000.
Stacking rewards through Kudos doesn't lower the face value, but it does put real money back after the purchase, which adds up fast when you're buying multiple tickets or attending more than one match.
FAQ
Does Kudos work on StubHub?
Yes. Kudos works on StubHub, and it’s a Kudos Boost partner. Make sure you activate Boost before completing checkout.
Can I stack the Boost and a CLO on the same purchase?
Yes. That's the whole point. Kudos surfaces all available reward layers at once so you can combine them in a single transaction.
What cards have StubHub CLOs?
CLOs vary by card and change over time. Kudos will show you which cards in your wallet have active StubHub offers when you visit the site.
Do I need the Chase Sapphire Reserve to use Kudos at StubHub?
Not at all. The 14% stack works with any eligible Chase card. The CSR just adds an extra layer on top - the $300 annual StubHub credit and the 10x Paze bonus - for cardholders who have it.
Is auto-activation of card-linked offers free?
You can stack all three reward layers without Kudos Premium. Free users just need to activate the card-linked offer manually through the extension before checkout. Kudos Premium handles that step automatically, so you never miss an offer.
Auto-activation is a Kudos Premium feature. Free users can still activate CLOs on their own, but Premium handles it automatically at checkout, so you never miss an offer.
Cashback percentages are subject to change. Boost exclusions apply. Verify active offers in the Kudos app before completing your purchase.
